The wonderful Barb over at Heads and Tails Tuesday chose this
theme/prompt for the week of June 16...It is....
HEADS - Lost

This week I am kind of going to use both...

A couple of years ago when we came to Avonhurst
(which is the church we attend)
A couple of people made us feel welcome
right from the start..
This guy was one of them ...
His name is Colin.
In him we FOUND

a friend...

One of the first things he told us..
was if you are gonna hang out with this group,
you better get used to football...LOL!
(Sask Riders are big around here)
and we weren't big sports fans...
So we did...
He prayed one of the funniest, most profound prayers
I have ever been on the receiving end on..
We had been at a church dinner
and I was pregnant with Jeremy,
when I started to miscarry at 28 weeks..
I was obviously pretty upset..
and so I was sitting by the front doors of our church
waiting for my hubby and crying..
and he came up...
Put his hand on my shoulder..
And said "God help"

Doesn't seem like much...but it was.

He amuses us...
and we have enjoyed getting to know him...

We know that he isn't really LOST
top us..
although he is moving two provinces away...
But still...
It is two provinces away....

Good luck with your fresh start Colin...
The church will miss you,
but we will too...

This is what I saw this morning...
I put Gracie in the play pen to give her a break...
and apparently it wasn't quite enough...
I came back in the room to find
that somehow my resourceful two year old
had joined his sister...LOL!

HEADS - "Tune"

Make any kind of post using the theme/prompt "Tune."

Once a while ago, I posted a video of my daughter singing..and Barb said next time she wanted to see one of me singing..
so here you go Barb...



Music is a passion of mine, and has been most of my life..
I love singing, listening to music, piano, guitar, drums...
(although I only play drums once in a while..and piano not at all...)
I plan on learning....
One of the things my parents did for me was put me in organ lessons..
To this day I HATE the organ,
but it did teach me some music basics I have used for other things,
including guitar, and singing....

and while we are on the subject of "tune"
check out this dude...and some of the crazy stuff he does in time to music...
I didn't quite catch his name...Prince something...but he flies in every year
and performs at the Carribeon Pavilion.
We go specifically to check him out...



or maybe you prefer a guy who bounces on nails in time to the music??

8 THINGS I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO:

• SUMMER....Warm weather (yeah...that's happening), beach, beach and beach....
  
• Marky's wedding...and taking a break from Regina (haven't had a holiday in 7 years)
• Being able to spend time with my hubby on said holiday.
  
• My son sleeping through the night...(Please, please, Jeremy for mommy?)
• Camping and campfire smoke.
  
• Buying a van...We are in desperate need...ask my 16 and 19 year old..after the 16 year old who is 5'9" had to sit on the 19 year old....who was crammed up against two car seats...MUAH HAHA....noooo it wasn't funny...We have a Grande Am, and had to pick up my 19 year old ...

8 THINGS I DID YESTERDAY:

• Got out of bed (Well I did.....)
  
• Cleaned the house...
  
• Played outside with my little man and the princess...
  
• Started to plan our vacation
  
• gardened
  
• Cleaned up garbage in the backyard
  
• Went for dinner with three of my daughters, my inlaws, my son and my hubby for his 34th birthday
  
• Fell asleep in front of the tv....exhausted from lack of sleep...Sorry it just wasn't that exciting a day!
  

8 THINGS I WISH I COULD DO: ( I'm interpreting this as 8 things I will do - you know, like goals .....Lisa also did this, but I am sure you will forgive me.... (at least I hope so..)

• I will spend more time playing guitar
  
• I will learn to play piano
  
• I will go to school and get my degree
  
• I will spend more time in prayer....
  
• I will let go of things out of my control
  
• I will buy a bigger house.
  
• I will lose those "extra" pounds...
